Seattle Bike Show
Even though I didn't touch bases with any of my fellow Pacific Northwet, V friends, it was a much better show than in recent years.
Kaw had a great booth, one nicely tricked out Versys, and their little 250, but still carburated, was hoping it would be injected as they are in Europe. Also had their new jumbo touring machine, ZX-14R, very comfortable, very sophisticated. Way too much bike for me-we'd both be in the 'shop' in the first 10 minutes!
Next door Triumph was exhibiting for the first time in many years-great looking Bonneville and the new 800XC on display, if I ever get fed up with the V, that could be my next bike or second bike.
Honda had its great little 250, at $3999.00, I'm very tempted, excellent machine. New Yamaha Tenere, very nice a real competitor to the GS and a much better price. New Susuki V Strom, all tricked out, but couldn't really tell the difference from the old one.
Highlight of my show I met with Round The World Doug, known to many of us on ADV forum. What a great guy, shared some of his amazing adventures. For those that like vicarious adventure travel, check out can a Harley make it to Madigan on ADV. Well written with great photos.
