Honda’s production Crosstourer

I had an '03 800 VFR and hated the vtech aspect. Don't know anything bout the 1200 though. Looks like they went cheap on the suspension though. Rebound adj only both ends.

I've ridden the 1200 VFR and the engine is fabulous. Presumably, Honda will retune the engine for more low to mid range and it doesn't have the Vtec valve actuation (which I loved on my VFR800). It should make a great sports-tourer which is what it really is rather than an adventure type bike. As for the weight, if the manufacturers were more honest with their claimed weight figures and also weighed their bikes fully loaded with fluids/oil/fuel etc, you'd soon see that their low weight figures are a bit of a nonsense.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss
