Dual SPort News / ADVmoto

Just published a nice little article on the V. Some good advice and a couple of new tricks.

Yeah, the content is terrific! The site did not run very smoothly on my set-up though.

I just finished reading through this article the old fashioned way. I ordered a set of SW Moto engine guards for my Versys from Twisted Throttle's website, and the people at Twisted Throttle had put a copy of ADV Moto magazine that had this article in it in the box with my order. I thought it was a super cool thing to do, not to mention a great magazine. I will definitely be ordering from twisted throttle again, and will be getting a subscription to ADV Moto as well.

i especially like the topic of anyone making a wheelset that will fit on versys to give us the better 19/17 setup. But I would not pay more then $500 for it. ( I am secretly just waiting for someone to figure out that some other bikes wheel will just fit right up)

Its already been done by a few members here and if you search hard enough you can find a ton of info on what will work for you as far as wheels go. Those are costom wheels hand built to order so 1500 is a pretty good price. Im happy runny my 17's with fat tires. They get me to where I want to go. Funny they claimed that they could not do 50 mph on dirt until they went with the larger front wheel! Must have been the rider

GTI - so with that link I could by the front wheel... put on a 19 inch tire and swap over my discs and everything is golden.

or is there a lot more research (search button) that I need to do?

Hit the search button and look around. If you buy the Wee Storm mag wheels at that price you may as well go for the custom wheels with the billet hubs.

I enjoyed reading the article... thanks for posting the link. If the swap outs were a little less costly I could see creating my own ADVersys.

I think Kawasaki is missing a big opportunity by not offering 2 versions of the Versys like Triumph is doing with the Tiger. I'd buy a Versys XC version to go along with my "street" version. I'd buy a KLE500 if they were offered in the USA.
