Life lesson #2135

Life lesson #2135

When applying stain to your porch railing on a very windy day make sure your Versys is not parked downwind unless you intend to make it a matching color.

Seems that whole "downwind thing" has bitten me on several occasions over the years....one that comes to mind is to not select a camp site/pit area downwind of the porta-potties

Good luck with the stain removal!

I did not realized it had got sprayed until after the stain had started to dry. It came off the shinny surfaces with kerosene but I could not get it all off of the flat, black, plastic surfaces like my dash and Givi top box. It was white stain. May end up painting these surfaces down the road.

Try using brake fluid. Just be very very careful and use a little. Brake fluid can restore the original look to old black plastic parts that have faded from the sun.

Sorta figure it counts: Dad told me not to p*ss into the wind. Seems to apply to several of life's little lessons....

Bought some flat black Krylon plastic paint to repaint my dash and other black plastic parts. My take some before and after pictures when I get around to painting them.

Does anyone know where I can buy vinyl seat covering material?

A bike cover would have come handy.
