MPG with 44T

FYI, I just finished 290 miles at an avg speed of 65 MPH from 5180 ft elevation to 7940 ft round trip up then down. MPG was 59.67. Before I put on the 44T, the stock sprocket of 46T gave me 55 MPG doing the same ride. I also noticed that an accurate distance by HWY markers of 100 miles showed an indicated 93.6 on my odometer. I took into consideration what the actual miles were when I figured MPG.

Cool.

Was the air temp comparable on both rides?

Most of my riding is at the 500 to 900 foot elevation. My mpg went up some when I put the 16T on. My MPG also increases when I ride with friends who are on cruiser type bikes. They ride slower than I do normally.

Temps were pretty much the same 75-90 at 5000 ft 60-70 at 7500 ft all depending on time of day. Keeping in the 60-70 mph really gives great mpg. No stop and go where I ride. I wish I had my camera this morning, there were seven big horn rams 10 feet off of hwy 96 just past McKenzie Junction on the way to Westcliffe Co. They probably were going back up the mountain after getting a drink from North Hardscrabble Creek.
