What year EX650 wheels will work

I'm looking at a second set of wheels for dual sport rubber and I never see any Versys wheels for sale. I do see lots of EX650 wheels for sale but I don't know which ones will work on my 1st gen '09. Will all EX650 wheels work? If not what is different?

As far as I am aware they are identical. The bikes take the same size tires.

If you want to know definitively that that wheels from a 650R will mount up with no modifications to a Versys contact the owner of Blue Ridge Performance. He also runs a forum http://www.brp650forum.com/phpbb3/index.php

He does a lot of utilizing Versys parts on the Ninja 650 so if anyone knows he does. Plus he probably has wheels for sale.

They will all work. If they have the same spoke pattern they'll fit. You should be able to get a front or rear for under $100, a little more if they have rotors, sprockets, bearings, etc.

I seriously considered doing this for a set of off-pavement tires. Decided in the end it wasn't worth it as I just don't ride mine that way. It makes for a crappy dirtbike anyway.
