Colorado Insurance rates

I traded my 2010 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado, $13K for a 2011 Versys, $6300. YIKES!! my insurance went from $176 for full coverage to $342. Doubled the premium for a bike that lists for one half price. No tickets, no accidents 69 yrs. old. Anyone in Colorado have a better deal with their company?

Some companies classify the Versys as a "sportbike" Shop around.

State Farm Insurance

Every bike I've owned, I've paid $12-18/mo. That's including a 07 CBR1000rr. And yes, I have speeding tickets.

I'm with Progressive also, I live in a rural area, 3600 pop, maybe because it's a new bike.

Insurance companies seem to follow a mystical process for rating different "bikes". When I removed a 2008 Vespa S150 scooter and added a 2009 Versys to a Progressive two bike policy...the annual cost dropped by $60.

2009 GREEN Versys
2006 Yellow Pearl H-D VRSCR Street Rod
2010 Scarlet Red H-D FXDF Fat Bob

Fear is just excitement in need of an attitude adjustment.
