sync/motion mix?

I need to replace my rear tire. ( scorpion sync). Front is same but still lots of tread. Being on a bit of a budget, I am thinking of just replacing rear with a conti motion.
Anyone see an issue running a sync-front/conti motion rear combo?

Why not maintain the same make and just change the back.
IMHO- not advisable to mix tire by different manufactures though some are running mix set's.

It depends how much you want to risk as handling do change a bit by these mixed set's.

Just my 2cts thoughts.

You now have Scorpion Synch front and rear, and want to have a Conti Motion rear with Scorpion Synch front? If so, there's something wrong with the end of your post...

I think that combo would be just fine... My Conti Trail Attack rear with Avon Distanzia front combo is absolutely excellent. Like your proposed combo, I also like having a bit more aggressive tread in front to reduce the Versys' front washout tendency on dirty/gravel roads.

Perfect. I will order a conti and then replace as a set next time.

Mawson,
MANY times, on MANY different bikes I've run mis-matched front and rear tires. (And don't forget that some bikes come from the factory w/ a bias at one end, radial at the other which is a NO-NO for cars!)

Thanks for the input. As it turns out I can't find a conti motion in stock at a decent price right now so I may just have to get another sync for the rear anyway...
