snow n blow - spring fever

OK - i've started my usual winter dreaming...i've taken out the maps, plotted all of my spring summer and fall trips, but currently under 8" of snow...before that there was so much salt and sand on the road it was MORE dangerous to ride than the slippery white stuff.

Anyway - here it is

Spring trip - VA to Outer banks - long weekend

Summer - Niagara Falls (canadian side) 5 days

Fall -thinking car train to Florida -then over to NOrleans and back up to VA. (week or so)

I hear ya, it's been over two weeks since my bike was out. It seems to snow here every other day. Not alot mind you, but enought to plow and keep riding conditions a mess. I don't mind the cold, but the snow/ice/salt sucks.

I think the auto train to Florida sounds like a good idea - NOW.

Winter dreaming - my problem is I have way more ideas than time to pursue them...

Drove the cage home with the window down and my well bundled arm on the sill this afternoon...there is hope. Folks passing by looked at me like I was crazy. Hell I was dreaming of SOON.

me too. it was my first tour, back when i lived in norfolk. unfaired HawkGT, with a 120 mile tank. leather jacket, jeans, work boots, nothing waterproof.... wearing a backpack with a duffel bungeed on the pillion. nighttime motoring thru the national seashore, full moon, stars and surf crashing on my right. stop roadside, kill ignition, soak in the darkness, the sounds, the smells. i was hooked. good times.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?
