317 Versys for Sale!! WOW

http://www.cycletrader.com/Kawasaki-...ys&vrsn=hybrid

Of course, there might be some duplication? I only went thru page one of five. Starting at $4199.00, what a buyers market. I had no idea so many owners were jumping ship. Don't they read the forum?

Some are NEW and some USED units. 317 is not a big figure considering the size of USA.

Fastoman you are right, most are new leftovers. Did you notice the price of the leftover new is nearly the same as the used? Dealers are getting motivated! Except where I live, we topped the list (Bolivar is 30 miles from me) at $6500.00 new 09.

I would own another at that price if I could lower it to a 25" seat height for my wife. She is only 5' tall. Let's see, take the seat off and highly modify the fork springs. I could make it into a hard tail. Hmmmm.

exporting bikes from the US

For some reason bikes seemed to be priced considerably higher here.

Just bought mine in MD off of Ebay. Even with the cost of shipping to Canada ($600) and $200 import paperwork fee it was well over $1000 cheaper.

I think I could have a side business exporting bikes from the US and reselling them here.

Ontario is no better. Of the 5 bikes on the Autotrader.ca site, 3 are 2011, one is a 2010 at a $200 discount ($8999 for 2011, $8799 for 2010), and a 2007 is still asking $6000. I don't understand the pricing on the 2010 at all.

Oh well. Glad I'm not in the market up here right now. My V's a keeper.

Web only price, makes me wonder what hidden fees lurk for Web only shoppers! I really would have to see it to believe it. My dealer is still asking 6500 for his 09s.

Sprocket -
Those extra fees also included HST and duty? What % for duty?

There is no duty with the US due to free trade agreement. You pay GST at the border and PST when you license the bike at the DMV. There is also a $200 paperwork fee (RIV fee) you can pay online after.
