Countershaft Cover

I have 3200 miles on a V1k. I have removed the countershaft cover twice and cleaned the inside and front sprocket. I use Motul chain lube. I use kerosene to clean the chain about every 400 miles and then lube. I have not had to adjust the chain yet and the build up has been minimal. Curious on what others are experiencing with the chain and countershaft. Does anyone remove the cover and if so how often.

I'm not as fastidious as you. On my first chain using Maxim chain wax I removed the cover twice, once to remove wax build up, once to find the carcass of a small bird. My second chain, using Dupont Chain saver, I have not looked. Perhaps I should but there is no indication of problems.

I remove MY covers when I'm in the process of replacing the countershaft sprocket (roughly each 15K miles).
