German Magazine MotorRad - Tire Tests

The German Motorcycle magazine MotorRad seems to do fairly unbiased tire comparisons. You can use Google Translate to translate the articles if you don't speak German. They have fairly recent tests of both Sport Tour tires as well as Adv tires. The results of the MotorRad Sport Tour tire test seem to be consistent with the results of a sport tour tire test done by MCN.

Interestingly I've never seen a comparison between the Mezler RoadTec 01 and Pirelli Angel GT which are both manufactured by the same company. Metzler and Pirelli are both Pirelli owned companies.

I will be going with PR4's when I need new tires for my V1k and my Connie. I know at least two who have 11k plus on their Fjr's. I'm sure they will do at least 10k on the V. The Connie will get the GT's.

I'll be getting the PR4's for my V-1000 also. Had the PR3's on the V-650 and the PR4-GT's on the FJR. Loved them and don't see anything else on my bike...

Have the Metzeler Roadtecs been out long enough to have distance mileage reviews. I'm not going you be tearing up the twisties and dragging knee. I'm looking for distance, at least 10-12k.

I know the 01's have been available in the U.S. since at least last September, but I haven't read about any mileage reports yet. Maybe they are so good no one has yet worn one out.
