Gauging interest, whats it worth? Versys 650LT setup for touring

I'm thinking about selling my Versys. It's a 2015 with less than 4k miles. Setup for touring with a Sargent seat, Givi top box, hard bags, bag liners, Garmin Zumo, wired heat-troller, Givi shield, additional LEDs up front and in back, voltmeter, harness for powering a tank bag, Givi tanklock tankbag, and probably more I'm not remembering. Any ideas what it's worth? Located in Nebraska. Here are some kind-of-crappy pictures I just took.

It's a great bike, I love it, but after 20 years of riding, I am considering giving it up.

I don't know what it is worth, but I do know I would like it. I also know it's not in the budget right now

Farkles don't really add to the price, but make the bike easier to sell. You will probably get 25c to 50c in the dollar for them and I am guessing you have spent between $3,000 & $4,000 depending if you added them yourself or had them installed.

I listed all my farkles for insurance recently and they add to more than CAD10,000 but the 2007 bike is only worth $4 to $5k.

Good luck

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

It is worth whatever the market will bear. I've sometimes gotten more trading in than I could sell a bike for. I've also seen where insurance will pay more than you can sell a bike for.

In my area a '15 Versys 650 LT would be worth about $5000 in a private sale. When the local dealers only sell a few a year there isn't much demand. We can ride mostly year round here.

It really depends on the demand and whether you are willing to wait for the person who would have added everything you added and sees the value in it.

I am considering becoming a casual rider once my back heals so I know what you are going through. I have averaged 25,000 miles a year for the past 10 years, and 10,000 miles a year before that. In the past year I have only ridden about 12,000 miles. In 2017 only about 200 miles. Hard to justify 6 bikes that I am not riding. :-(

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

When I put a bike up for sale I do two things, check out the local craigslist listings and look at KBB.com to gauge a value. Time of year and how much I want to move the bike play a part too. I found a white 2015 on CL sorta near you over in Iowa selling for $5500 or best offer, it has twice the miles of yours but it is loaded with mods, just like yours.

There are a few first and second generation Versys that range from $3900 to $5000.

You have a really nice bike, if priced well it will sell. Good luck.

Giving up riding is one of the hardest things a person can do next to stopping driving a car. I have the exact same bike and color. You will loose money on the sale, get over it and move on to another hobby. Good luck with your decision.

+1 If it's a popular bike, like my 2013 Ducati Multistrada there is a a lot of interest and a few offers. Usually lower than I ask, but then I tell them, if they can find the same bike cheaper, I'll match. That never happens, because I have it priced to sell.

You're never going to get the $ you're out in certain add-ons (windscreen, seat etc) with the sale of the bike.
Those are personal tastes and you'll make more $ parting them out. That has always been my experience and knowledgeable riders are usually the serious buyers.
