The lime green trim doesn't match with the hi-vis yellow on my black V, but for what little I paid, I can live with it. The seat is heavy, firm and short. The added weight is noticeable, but I'm hoping that once the seat breaks in it will be worth it. I will likely invest in some peg lowering blocks to add some leg room. The stock seat was uncomfortable after 3 hours, even with a sheepskin cover and 1.75" of additional padding.

Added reflective hi-vis yellow stripes to the wheels. As the days get shorter, I'm riding in the dark more. I'll take any advantage I can get, and I like how they change the look of the bike.
Never thought of asking if they had a Corbin, glad you got a deal, my seat mod has made my seat at least 40% better, to the point that I can ride 8 to 10 hours combined with my highway pegs, the Corbin either works or doesn't work, and I would have kept the Corbin off my 07 if it had fitted. Recently I discovered that the fit problem may have been a tab on the seat that is no longer used on the 2015, which I could have removed.

I'm going to miss going in and speaking with real people, touching/trying on real products before I buy them (which I always bought from them), and even paying with cash.

It took some time fitting the Corbin seat to my bike. Initially the seat lock wouldn't engage. I had to shim down the catch with washers. It took a couple tries to get just the right thickness to allow the lock to engage, but not have any free play. Now it takes a very firm press to get the seat to lock, but there is no rattle or movement. I was surprised to find that the engine vibes I used to feel through the seat at certain RPM's have been eliminated by the Corbin. That alone should make long rides much more pleasant.

I have to remember to make a new "battery hold down" (foam block) for the Corbin, since it was missing that, in addition to not having the hooks like the stock seat has.

2011 V650 in Black, well accessorized.

Rode about 150 miles (temp here 95F) to the bank, COSTCO, a couple of cycle shops, then paid my municipal taxes, then home. Oiled my chain, then opened a Coors (a VERY chilly Coors......), and NOW getting ready to open a third one (have to replenish those 'precious' bodily fluids......).

It's suppose to hit 104 degree's today and tomorrow. So headed out early to go pick up lunch at a great little spot in Gardena. Giuliano's Deli & Bakery this is the original one here there are 2 others around also.....Giuliano's Delicatessen and Bakery in Gardena California .They make their own bread and have all sorts of fresh breads and rolls for sale also along with a really nice deli meat and cheese section. Get there before 10:30 am or be prepared to wait awhile.....I usually get the desert with out the iced top but they didn't have any ready yet so just got the iced one and took the topping off..

Well, a day later, but here's what I did:
- Went on a +100 mile ride around NJ/NY area, ended up on Harriman Park and Bear Mountain.
- On my way back I stopped at an AutoZone to get an oil filter and pans.
- Did my first oil change! (~620 miles on the bike, finally!)
- Tried to install the accessory socket with a dual USB + voltage meter, but realized I was missing a couple of connectors (they wouldn't fit!). So left it at that... There was a BBQ and beers waiting for me.

...

- Up next, finish up with the left socket, install a 12V adaptor on the right socket and the heated grips on the bike!.

Pics pending.

'17 Versys 650 ABS - mods/adds:
- Heated grips
- RD Moto crash bars
- H&B center stand
- Dash: 2-port USB charger and 12V socket

I did 479.2 miles today with a friend (he on his Super Tenere, me on my Versys 650), NY (Catskills) and NJ (up North). Great ride, aside from finding out how bad my new HJC is!

Checked to determine whether I need to use a 'tail-bag' on a 1,300 mile ride I'm planning w/ a buddy thru AZ and S UT in a couple of days, as I added TUSK panniers since my last long ride here.

YIPPEE - looks like everything fits in the panniers and my tank-bag!

Been busy putting miles on my new Terrys custom seat......great touring seat, the wife is much happier now. Right out of the wrapping better than the year old well broken in sergeant seat I was using. I'm finally done with farkling my 650 for now and am very satisfied.

Demodded it to near stock, prepping for spring sale. A v4 found home in my garage. Then I took the stock V out for a ride, still fun, just not blowing me away.

Fast as can be down low. I do enjoy this bike, just not enough to keep it for another two years.

Not today but yesterday I did some upgrades to my V

1-installed the seat lifter to avoid keep hitting my nuts with the tank!

2-New footpeg a little wider with the lowering footpeg kit from MotoWerk

3- new clutch cable!

And for the weekend I have to change the Air filter give it a good clean to t and go for a ride!

Put about 35 miles on, testing my new AFX41DS helmet, then I changed the oil. AFX smokes the HJC DSX-1.
