Rossi & Ducati

The marriage of Valentino Rossi and Ducati has been a dream come true for Italian fans. Follow this link to a video showing Rossi entering the Ducati paddock and throwing his leg over the 2011 Desmosedici for the first time, followed by his first laps.

Jeremy Burgess is in the pits with him, as expected. Rossi took it easy today, finishing with the tenth quickest lap as the Valencia tests opened. Casey Stoner, on the other hand, was immediately very fast on his new Honda (finishing with the second quickest lap, as Lorenzo was quickest), likely sending a chill up the spine of his competitors.

It sure looks like an exciting new season to MotoGP.
Always loved the sound of Duc 90 degree L-Twins. And now with the Doctor on the saddle...Woo Hoo....

This is going to be most entreating season in quite a few years.
I hope.
I said that last year when all the rookies joined and the 4 aliens were fit and ready to battle but it turned out differently. (Still very good)

And Valentino Rossi on Ducati... I'm still grinning whenever I think about it.

P.S.
Do you Malaysian guys ever go to Sepang circuit for either Moto or F1 racing?

Sepang F1 circuit is Mecca for all bikers here. Only problem is I never had a change to go as work takes me away. Maybe next year might see Rossi & Duc.

Id like to see him one more championship. It would be great to witness one of a hand full of riders to do that on multiple manufactures. Im not ever sure there ever has been one to do that on 3 different bikes. I know there have been a couple on 2 different manufactures but 3 may be a record. However Jorge Lorenzo is on a roll and the M1 is going great. I think he is going to be really hard to beat next year barring injury. Never count Rossi out however, watch him come back and when a couple on the duc and then retire to WRC racing.

of course, the GP bike has a pair of twins (v4). me i'm looking forward to the increase in displacement, in 2012, i think. there have been a few good races, though. thinking of Rossi and Jorge trading paint.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

Nice find on the link Ivan V. Thanks. That picture you posted, the rear wheel appears as though it's not even touching the pavement. Considering the speed he's travelling it must be...No? Amazing!

Glad to see Rossi with Ducati. I imagine that he's winding down his racing career, so what better place to begin the final chapter than at Ducati! I have to say I'm sorry to see Stoner leave Ducati as I think he was finally getting the GP10 bike set up to be truly competitive.

Yeah, that’s a statistic sample size of 1, category “anecdotal evidence”, but there it is.

It'll be fun to see The Doc on a Duc but all I can say is.....GO SPIES! He's going to win one (or more) next season.

Motorcycles, can't live without them!

Nope, no chance so far. Have to take a rain check on that.
Last MotoGP, only flew back to Sepang the day after the race.
Was hoping to go as KLIA airport is only 10 minutes from Sepang MotoGP curcuit.

Can't wait to see Rossi racing with Ducati, I'm sure they'll be great together.
But he loved his Yammi, you can tell.

Hope he puts that little twit he has left behind in his place and as for that wingeing stoner
its so nice seeing him slide of on his nappy into the gravel.

Watch out for Ben Spies, Lorenzo will hate it when he out shines him.
looks to be a very good year Rosi on top again I hope

I am very suprised that Spies did not do better. Is his bike that much slower than the rest, or are these guys that much faster?

My bet is that Stoner will rule on the honda. Maybe the new Duc will be better, but the 2010 was not that impressive. I hope it will be spies-rossi-stoner though!
