Progressive, like many other companies, list the Versys as a "Sport Bike" which drives the premium up.
I had my agent (yes, I'm old fashioned in that I really like a real person to handle my insurance who I can call when things happen instead of some faceless drone on an 800 number) run all the companies she could (independent agent) and Progressive actually was several hundred dollars a year cheaper for me than everyone else. My cars are all on SafeCo and they were DOUBLE what Progressive was.
Never had a point on my record in 30+ years of driving, MSF card, etc.
