Complete redesign of Ninja 650

2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Review

With a recent redesign of the Ninja 650 it has lost 42 lbs of weight over the 2016 model and got more sporty (sport bike like) ergonomics. It also comes now with a slipper clutch which also lightens the required clutch effort at lever due to it's latching effect with engine torque - allowing much weaker clutch springs to be utilized.

The interesting thing here is it leads one to speculate if we will see many of these improvements shortly on a redesigned Versys 650 and ERN6 since Versys and ERN6 are based on the Ninja 650 engine/transmission package and main frame unit.
invader and quexpress like this.

I'm pretty sure the ER6-n is over now, replaced with the new Z650.

Interesting but the curb mass is listed as TBA for both the 2017 Ninja 650 and Z650 on Kawasaki.ca site.
