Ratteling/Vibration and protection

Hi All,

I am sure that the 100 questions I have has been answered already, but looked through the site and could not get these specific ones answered!

1) The (don't know name) "dashboard" that shows gas/mileage, etc. looks like it is an insert, and there is what appears to be some "space" between that and the frame holding it. It rattles the heck out of it during 1st and 2nd gear. How do I minimize/stop the rattling?

2) Is is necessary to put on side protectors to protect it from scrapes caused by one's leathers/legs?

1. Search for "fairing buzz" it is a sticky on one of the pages.

2. No.

Hope it goes well on the buzz, mine went away with $1 worth of foam tape and a little time.

This worked for my KLE...

1.Jam some folded over plastic tubing, folded over, above then below cluster as needed.
2. 1x1.5"foam folded over(3 to 4" in length)and jammed in under 2 cowling tabs on top of headlight.(I've since removed these after 2 or 3 thousand kilo's...apparently no longer necessary).

Hope this helps!
