Same concept as my home made mount. Mine is a bit more basic and I didn't paint the aluminum but it puts the GPS in the same spot and didn't cost anywhere near as much, though it took a bit of time to lay it out and make it.

I like both of ours better than the over-designed unit from SW-Motech, although I guess if you were riding offroad the vibration damping might be good.
