Just got my first Versys (a 2009) today. While riding it home I discovered that at highway speeds (70-75 mph) the seat gets very warm. It's hot enough down here in Texas without having to put up with engine heat. What have you guys done to alleviate this problem?
On the older versions the fan blows heat to the right side, is your fan working properly, that is does it cycle on and off? Also is the rad clear of debris? I had a 07 and my right leg noticed the heat , never had a hot seat issue, although if your fan wasn't coming on, I would expect the heat to rise up around the top of the engine / gas tank/ seat.
Just a thought, have you checked your tire pressure, as this thread is going something like a thread on a blown head gasket, the OP suggested that excess air could be building up in his tires, a bit of a sarcastic remark that has since been removed on the blown head gasket thread. If this was a 2015 I would suggest that a rubber barrier behind the rad has been removed, as it is for deflecting air from passing above the rad. The earlier versions didn't have this.
