Seen any good deals on left over 2015 650 LT models?

I'm interested in buying a left over 2015 Versys 650 LT. Most listed on CycleTrader are still at MSRP or close to it. I got a quote from one dealer, a few states away, that was $7500 OTD (before title & tax). With the $1k Kawasaki cash deal that's going on right now, that means they came down a whopping couple hundred bucks.

Anyone seen any good deals? A dealer not far from me has a 2015, but I haven't been able to get a price out of them. Two unanswered emails and 10 minutes on hold but haven't gotten a response from them yet.

I get the feeling that when Kawasaki offers cash back, the dealers raise their prices (raise the floor of how low they will go) by about that amount.

You could find them cheaper than that last year.

I find that most dealers are reluctant to quote prices over the telephone. One thing you might try is the COSTCO auto buying program. You can get a quote on a Versys through their service. I've used it and it gets you a pretty good starting point. You might also consider asking for a "free" 600 mile service.

I have a 2015 and it's great! So go for it if you can.

Cycletrader says there are a few places within 250 miles of Columbus with 2015 650 LTs (new) for $6699, and some for a few more.

The cheapest I see on a non LT (new) is $5999. No idea about before or after rebate, or dealer fees. I swear I saw some that were a few hundred cheaper a couple weeks ago.

I found this ad on CL, posted 2 months ago (before the Kawasaki cash took effect), for $6999. If you could get that price, plus the $1k Kawasaki money - $5999 would be a steal for an LT.

I just picked up a '16 for $7749 before tax, title, & license. The only place around me that that a '15, they wanted $9,000 out the door, which is more than I'm paying for the '16. Kawasaki has deals until the end of this month on new bikes. I'm not sure if that counts toward a new 15 or not.

Just in case anyone is looking for a deal on a leftover 2014. They will want to add about $500 to this price, but if you walk in, ready to buy, you can probably get it for the $5,000 price. My buddy walked in with his checkbook, asked to see the sales manager......

Yeah.

I really like that flat orange metallic.

I'd almost trade my white one for that, except that it's got a whopping 200 miles on it.
THAT would be an embarrassing trade.

I paid $7815 for my 2015 LT clone. $5950 for the 2015 650abs, $1865 to put both bags, trunk, handlebars on it. Then $119 service and handling fee, then $630 for the 48mo extended warranty thing, and a $250 military discount. So $8564 total.

$7233/8000OTD for my '15 LT in January with 0 miles at Pro Caliber in Vancouver, WA. I shopped Cycle Trader to find the dealers within driving distance that had a '15 in Candy Green in stock. 5 minutes on the phone and one hour at the dealership was all it took, and I trailered it home in the rain.

What is the $1K Kawasaki cash deal? Is that a refund? I checked their website but could not find what you are referencing. I am also in the market for a 2015 650 LT.

Also to confirm there were no changes between 2015 & 2016 models correct?

You don't need to file with Kawasaki or anything to get it. It's taken off the price you pay the dealer. Dealers will get $1000 back from Kawasaki when they sell a 2015 Versys. They may or may not show this kick-back on your bill. Sometimes they just tell you they are giving you a deal at $500 off MSRP, but they are getting $1000 from Kawasaki meaning they made $500 more than MSRP. Others are very up front about it.

No changes that I am aware of.

Anything over 5.5 grand is too much for the bike you get. 4 grand if you get a left over 2014 (folks are still picking those up in places)

Yea i like my 14 that I picked up left over in mid 15 for 4250 I think..
Bike is worth that price , bike is not worth the original 7 ish price.. It's just not. So I figured 4.2 ish for my 14, figure another 1.3-1.5 for the higher hp of the 15, bags, etc.. and 5.5 MAYBE 6 is all it would be worth to me .. anymore than that I would be looking at bikes with a more powerful motor, better suspension etc.. ME of course, other folks can and do what they wish!

Cheapest I have seen was $6999 with a $129 documentation fee. Then you still have to pay tax title tags. I tried to talk them down to $6599 but it was a no go. Hard to over pay for a new bike when you know as soon as you dive it off the showroom floor it loses approximately $2000 in value.

A DC dealership has one new one left for 6500 plus dealer freight and prep which is like 350, plus taxes and title.
Kawasaki 650 Versys LT. New 0 Miles

Also in utica NY a used one available privately here, its listed at 7500 but said he would let it go for 6700 in an email when i was looking for a used one. Found a much better deal elsewhere, but maybe by now hes willing to go lower. Got my barely used 15 lt for 5300.
2015 Kawasaki Versys

Although distance probably kills both deals for you, but maybe someone else can use it on east coast.
