touring oriented version of the Kawasaki Versys is expected in 2011.

translating from Italian a more touring oriented version of the Kawasaki Versys is expected in 2011.

Per il 2011 però Kawasaki sta preparando altre novità: ci sarà una versione della Versys ancora più turistica,

That looks suspiciously like an ER6N to me. It they don't put a bigger engine in it, it's a moot point.

Don, I dont think that pic on the Italian site was of a V, the page had only one line about the V, many other Kaw bikes were being profiled.

I could see Kawasaki doing soemthign similar to the Versys 'GT' varaint they did on the old shape (where IIRC they bundled some panniers, the MRA windscreen and soemthing else), perhaps it may be panniers + handguards), sort of similar to the Tiger SE compared to the Tiger, I think Triumph effectivley gavce a £200 discount on accesories with zero fitting cost)

as others have said its not a real vairiant on a Versys its just tricked out a bit

That is why it is good to have an Italian in the forum! Translation:
But For the year 2011 Kawasaki is preparing other novelties: there will be a version of the Versys even more "touring oriented", the future superbike ZX-10R in it's road version (the racing version has been shown last weekend at Nurburgring) and perhaps (they had a little typo here) at the EICMA show in Milan (November 2-7) we will see also the W800, the twocylinder that recalls the 60's english motorcycle style, that we already mentioned previously (and there is the link if you click http://www.infomotori.com/moto/2010/...kawasaki-w800/
(The picture will show that it is build to compete against the Triumph Bonneville)

What healdem said. As in past years, it'll be a package deal on accessories - Vario screen, seat and panniers at a discount. Maybe this year they'll add the handguards (which didn't exist as a Kawasaki accessory before). If you are interested in all the accessories they offer as part of the package, it's a good deal. If you were not going to get all 3-4 items, you can make your own version today with the same accessories...
