Side Rack Question for 2009 V

Looking at this set of side racks from a guy in Europe who says they came off of his 2007 Versys. They look completely different than what is available in the US.

Did Givi have different styles for Europe?

Here's some pics:

And here is what I have seen available in the US:

Looks like the ones I have 06-09 GIVI PLX447. See pic. My bikes a 2008 and you can see they bolt on exactly as they should. Get em if the price is right! Perhaps the curved lower bar one in your pic is for Gen 2 V's.

Thanks skywalker,

The pic you posted really helped. Now I know they will fit!

The top one in the OP is the OEM rack from Givi for the 1st Gen Versys models. The "US" ones in the OP are the non-OEM version of the Givi rack for the 1st Gen Versys models. Both are marketed as PLX447, which leads to some confusion. If you don't have a Givi top rack, the non-OEM version also needs an additional bracket kit for the part that bolts under the grab handles (it comes with the Givi top rack).

I've had both, but went with the non-OEM version as it was easier to fit it with my existing Givi top rack. The OEM version will work with the Givi top rack, but it's not nearly as easy an installation.

Good luck!

Dave, I'm hoping to do a ride out to Ottawa, which route (looking for nicest twists) west of the city do you recommend?

One of the best riding roads in the area is near Calabogie, just west of Ottawa.
