Rent-A-Seat program

Had an idea last night as I watched my seat leave for an upgrade. I'm going to be without a seat for at least two weeks which means no riding.

Anybody have a spare stock seat that they would rent out? Too late for me but I bet somebody could make a little money on the side if they would rent out a seat for a few weeks at a time.

Renter pays shipping boths ways plus $20 or something like that. I would have been happy to part with some money if it meant not having to park my bike for a couple weeks.

No riding for 2 weeks in Oregon in August!?!

I'd go find a pillow and some bungee cords...

No kidding. I'm missing half of summer. I ride rain or shine so it isn't that bad. Still have dirtbikes and a dualsport to keep me busy.

Here is a pic from about 2 hours after I boxed up the seat. Had to ease into not having the Versys. Did a 60 mile loop on my sons dual sport. If I'm not lost in the woods I'm not trying hard enough.

i have a seat you could borrow since i have a corbin, but i'm on the other coast. i think with some planning you can easily buy a second seat in the classified and then sell it to the next guy when you are done.

i'm probably going to send mine to spencer to have redone for 75$ at greatdaytoride.com

he just turned my wife's 650r seat around in 1 week including shipping from MD to FL and back.

If someone had an extra seat they could donate it and start a list. each person pays to have it sent to them then posts when it is available and the next guys sends funds to have it shipped to them. or the person with the seat just pays to send to the next guy.

That was what I had in mind. Wasn't sure anybody would want to donate a seat though. I planned on buying one and then selling it until I saw how much they were running.

I'm ok without a seat for a couple weeks. Going out camping for half the time anyway. Actually had a couple offers already. Great group we have here.

Mine is on the way to Spencer now. Shipping from BFE Oregon to Florida wasn't fun but I can't wait to get it back. I didn't think it was bad before but an improvement won't hurt.

Okay, now Iím downright envious! Iíve always wanted to do some off-road/trail riding and I am planning on getting a dual sport but I still donít know of any place near me to take it...

Happy trails to you...
