Soon to be a V owner..

Well thanks to the War Department (wife) and some financial creativeness I will be able to buy a V!! Waiting for the dealer to call me with the details so I can finalize things with the bank....

If I am lucky I can pick it up this week....early next week at the latest!!

Congratulations! My wife is not a fan either, but she tolerates my hobbies. Good luck and enjoy your Versys.

Welcome!! Used to have a war department a few years ago. Now the department owns and rides its own

No more issues with bikes or bike goodies!

Now wow would you want to go and buy a V I hope the "war department" realizes that they may see much less of you once you have your V unless she enjoys riding as well

The ride to the dealer sucked, the only thing that could have made it worse was rain....I had to take the interstate to make it before the dealer closed. It was very gusty, wind would blow up to about 35 miles per hour. Riding the little GS was chore...I really wanted to enjoy the last ride on the GS. On top of the wind they were repaving the highway in sections. I hate that scarified pavement. Finally arrived at the dealer and the wind died down and the sun came out..however I had one more hiccup in this trip. Here is my V parked outside the dealer waiting for me. After about a half hour with the office staff singing the paper work....I was off! I was a little miffed when I got on the road as I looked down and the V was on Empty...I had a 60 mile ride home and now had to find a gas station...took the back roads home to keep the RPMs down on the V....about a half our into the ride I passed cop who quickly threw his lights on and turned around...yep,...56 in a 35...didn't realize the speed zone had changed....luckily he realized it was a new bike and only gave me a written warning...whew that was close cus I am know out of cash for a while....After officer friendly let me go a local who was standing near by told me what a nice bike I had...the rest of the ride was uneventful....

The next day the V sat in the driveway as I was busy all day an night...today the weather is beautiful......guess what I am doing

Sorry to hear about the little hiccups in the beginning. I'm sure it will all be smooth sailing from here on out. Congrats on the bike!
