Trying to decide if this is a good deal....

Dealer has an 09 (blue) Versys. He will sell me it for $6K or take my 97 Suzuki GS500E and sell me the V for $5100....

I can probably sell the GS for about 1200 maybe 1400.Its in good mechanical condition but has some scratches and what not..low miles though, only 5500....but I have to go to the hassle of selling it. Plus it would be nice to finance less and keep my payment as small as possible.

Thoughts??

Where are you located in NH? I bought an 09 green V in windham last year for 5999 out the door. Last time I checked they were out of them, and the 10s. Maybe, now the demand is a little higher since there are so few left. I have been considering selling mine if you wanna check out my post.

seems like a pretty fair deal. Kawi was offering a dealer incentive but I think that ended last month. You should go for it.

I know I would take the deal, because the dealer is giving you close to what you think you might sell it for, plus he is discounting the Versys 1200.00 to boot. How can that be anything but fantastic? Don't forget, you also (at least in my state) deduct the trade in from your sales tax. Buy it! Then ride it, you'll be pleased no doubt. 5500 miles in thirteen years on the Suzuki? You'll do that easily in the first year on the Versys, it's fun to ride.

See if you get them to add some panniers for an extra $400 or $500, they can buy them a lot cheaper than you can.
