LED headlamp bulbs

I didn't see this covered here previously, sorry if I missed it.

Has anyone has success installing LED headlamp bulbs in a late V1? I'm hoping to avoid the whole Amazon/Ebay quality roulette game.

Best Advice, change only the low beam and get good Led lights like the Denali I have or others.

Am I missing some posts? My count only goes up to 119, not 132.

Total of 133 posts, originally for some reason it was linked to the How To Forum thread , rather than the discussion thread, I corrected that.

Seems to me that the headlight designs have been heavy on esthetics verrrry light on function. My favorite upgrade has to be adding dedicated driving lights.

If you drive in the dark it's silly to me to not put on a PROPER lighting system.

To be completely fair, I have not yet managed to aim my headlamps properly. There is ONE turn on my way home at night where the high beam provides any benefit (tight left sweeper under an overpass, posted 20 mph). Other than that, it only helps when lane splitting to let drivers know I'm there.

I'll second that. Many years ago I put HID's into my other bike, and was given the same advice. No sense upgrading the high beam when you usually just flash it. Especially with an HID, which has a ballast that needs to kick in.

BECAUSE the "bug-eye" (Gen 3) headlights are a 'bear' to properly adjust, I suggest you do them in your garage against the inside of the garage-door.

I gotta get some of my old flex tools from back in my GM days to make all that happen.
