Core Heat Batt Heated Gloves Rewire

If there's anyone out there who has done this, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I have a 2-yr old pair of Core Heat battery powered heated gloves. They still work well, except that one of the batteries do not fully charge anymore. I've been thinking of rewiring it to covert to 12V, plugged into a lighter outlet which I am planning to connect to the bike's battery.

Is this conversion possible? Any power relaying issues?

Thanks in advance.

That's really going to make you jump if it isn't done right....

Have someone else test them for you.

Seriously, though...I'm not the best when it comes to electrical so someone else should chime in- I think it takes converting the output of the motorcycle battery to the output of the heated gear battery. You can use a voltage regulator but maybe not ideal for the situation.

Can you post all the stamped info on the battery? Should be simple math from there...

i've contemplated doing that but was not sure if the heat was controlled by voltage or by current.

I believe that the batteries are generally 7v output but not sure what the output is on lower settings.

As long as you step the voltage down to whatever the battery voltage was I do t see any problems. As long as your voltage is the same they won't over heat the coils.
Volta X Amps = watts
