tropical monsoon gloves?

The monsoon has just started again here in Indonesia and I face the usual dilemma: what gloves to use?

When it's hot I use a pair of cut off taichi gloves with reinforced knuckles, but when they get wet it's uncomofrtable and it takes ages for them to dry out.

My full length Alpine stars are great for mountain / slightly cooler early morning rides but they do finally get wet and soggy in heavy rain then they are just squishy.

Recommendations?

I carry a pair of the yellow rubber/linen(?) gloves for cleaning sewage (so they're waterproof), and wear a pair of regular gloves inside them for impact protection.

Jeez doesn't that get hot? IN tropical heat it sounds like it would be murder

USUALLY in the rain I'm MORE worried about getting soaked... and certainly in Canada and Alaska, the temp plummets when it's raining! (Doesn't rain MUCH when I'm in AZ...!)

SO they don't get hot in warm weather but keep your hands dry? Sounds ideal
