I just added Moto Werk highway pegs because of my knee and lower leg ache. For me, putting both feet forward just feels awkward, but one leg at a time eases my discomfort to the point that a 400 mile ride was pleasant, of course I still get monkey butt.

I've scraped the 'pegs on my '08 three times (that I recall), just after I did an "advanced rider course" in Gilbert, AZ, and I'm pretty sure I had the lowered 'pegs in place.

To be fair - what I scraped was just the "feeler" which sticks down about 3/4" - and never had any concerns about scraping them....

I had a small that worked ok for day runs and espirited riding. I bought the large which is much better for long trips but does have more "disconnect" feeling. I've become accustomed to it and it doesn't bother me as much as it did at first.

The problem with the large is I have to put too much air in it because it overhangs the seat a bit in the back and more so in the front. A medium size would be better.

I have to agree with Airhawk. I get about twice as far before my posterior cries out for mercy.

I’m looking at the Airhawks online now after reading this thread, and I’m seeing three different shaped ones. Which would you guys say is the best fit for the Versys?

I bought the medium

Had mine for 5 years and used it on my '13 and now my '17 650. Fits pretty good.

Yea Ive "touched" the feelers on my lowered pegs that are on my lowered bike a few times on some hairpin turns. They do pivot on a spring loaded axis, not a big deal but creates a few sparks. When I first put on my Rivco highway pegs I was touching the road sometimes on a steep lean. They do pivot up. They are great pegs but longish so I took off 5/8 inch off the base of them with a hacksaw, problem solved...

I really like how the Airhawk gives me a bit of extra clearance, but the "disconnected" feeling it creates I'm not too crazy about. I took it off for around town, but will take it with for longer rides.

Here to learn.
