Old/Wrecked Helmets... What do you do?

Hey All!

A couple months back I was in a wreck that has left me with an abandonable helmet. However, there's an opportunity here, me thinks. I was tossing around some ideas about what to do with it. Thoughts of a fish bowl, electronics case, some kind of storage, a hip lamp... etc etc... have crossed my mind.

I assume a few of yous have old helmets kicking around, what have you been doing with them? Any clever ideas out there?

out.

You could put your Trick Or Treat Candy in it.

Not a helmet, but, I turned the stock windscreen from my Ninja 250 into a magazine rack for the garage. Maybe something like this for an idea:

I saw someone using it as a hanging flower pot. Nice flowers grew out of it.

I took a mini sledge hammer to mine with a cantaloupe inside. I was curious as to how hard I could hit it in the forehead area and not break the cantaloupe. I was very surprised. Helmets are quite strong. I am sure you would break your neck or get a concussion from an impact long before your skull would be damaged. Not exactly SNELL but it was impressive nonetheless.
