Seat Modifications - Santa Rosa CA

I have found a company that does modifications to seats on dual sport bikes. I have seen recommendations for his work and is well thought of in that community. I have asked him to look into modifying the seat on my Versys but has had a major problem finding Versys. If anyone is in his area would you stop by his office and let him look at your bike??

Thanks for your help!

I took my seat apart and cut a memory foam pillow to match the seat layout and then restapled...my kawi dealer noticed the mod when he was servicing and had me do his personal bike...less than 40 bucks!

I did not take any pictures of the actual seat build. but it was rather easy, less than an hour. It didi raise my seat by about an inch and a half to two, as i left the original foam on as well. It totally takes the term numb nuts and kicks it out the window. My daily commute to work is about 50 minutes. Before the mod i was numb within 20 minutes as i'm 6'1 245lbs.
Just take a flat hed screw driver and pop the staples out to the passenger seat, as i didn't mess with it. went to linen and things and bought a postuepedic memory foam pillow...on sale for like $30 and made sure it was a flat pillow. used the original cushion as a pattern. I actually didn't have an upholstery stapler so i used and standered electric one and tapped the stapple in with a small hammer.

I plan to eventually have a custom seat made, I just wasn't going to pay400-600 dollars for a seat that i hadn't set on or speced out.

Hey Josh, can you help us out and clarify what you did for cutting "pattern"? Thanks...
