Default Motorcycle Art

Winter is here. Can't ride. Found a Winter art project.

My Canadian Army Veteran Motorcycle Unit hosts the annual Trooper Mark Wilson Ride. This May will be the 4th year the ride honours the memory of Mark Wilson, a local soldier who was killed while serving in Afganistan. All the proceeds go to the Parkwood Veterans Hospital here in London.

With a little help from my friends, I just finished painting this D-Day Dispatch Rider themed chair which will be displayed at the WOMEX Bike Show 8-10 February and raffled off at the ride on May 11th.

Thanks fasteddie. I flew a week long VIP mission to the Arctic in '96 with 436 Sqn. Good bunch! Nothing like sitting up front while they land a Herc on a wee gravel strip at a remote weather station!!

Exactly Eureka. Also Iqaluit, Alert, Thule, and Bagottville before returning to Trenton. Really gives you an appreciation for the expansiveness of the country.

Flew to ALL of those places MANY times (tho' we called it Frobisher Bay...). Eureka - THAT was a "GNARLY" place!

IF we ever meet personally, ask me about the 'humorous event' I had out of there with a 'grunt' major....

The 4th Annual Trooper Mark Wilson Ride was held today and was a success! Despite unseaonably cold weather (including a sub zero windchill to start the day) we had about 100 participants out for the ride. The raffle tickets for the chair above sold out, raising over $2,500 for the veterans at Parkwood Hospital in London, ON.

Thumbs up

That's awesome, but not surprising considering your epic masterpiece.
