Default Proof that red is the fastest Verseys color!

I looked at my gps that records top speed last night after my commute. It had previosly been reset a week ago or so.
The max speed now reads 256mph! It has never been in any other vehicle, especially no planes.

No no no... You're reading it wrong. You were actually going 652Mph.

Like you, I find my Garmins will come up with a TOTALLY 'bogus' FASTEST SPEED reached.

Last Alaska trip my KLR 650 showed 171 mph (It was on a StreetPilot2610)! I figure that IF you took a KLR up in a C-130 Hercules and pushed it out the ramp at 3,000' above ground, its "terminal velocity" would NOT be 171mph!!!

Or - just think of the "bragging rights" when you showed that at a 'bike night' full of H-Ds....

Oh come on! Just pay attention to the physics of the situation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redshift

Clearly something this red must be moving away from you at a very high rate of speed. (By the way, if it appears blue you are approaching it a too high a speed.)

Maybe it mesured the amount of vibration per second, wich was in the lower interval for a klr ...
