My experience as well but they were nice while they lasted.
Got less than 5000 miles, mostly street, until the Avons were deep into the wear bars. The front cupped as badly as any tire I've had on any motorcycle, which was unexpected given the blocky tread.
Pirelli Scorpion Trails (OEM fitment on the Ducati Multistrada) provided me about 9,000 miles and even wear characteristics on the Versys. The front had some more life in it but I changed out both tires before a trip.
Everyone has their opinions about tires...Distanzias get from me.

Don't mean to beat this one to death but when I had mine replaced the dealer said the cupping was due to improper inflation.
In a dead serious tone I asked that since I checked the inflation every week, if it was possible I was using the wrong kind of air.
I got about 6k on the rear and I'm towards 9k on the front right now. Wear pattern was perfectly normal and they were good and sticky. I'd get another set, but will be putting more dirt-biased tires on next time....

Avon Distanzia 160/60 and 120/70? What pressures? Perfectly even wear on the front, even on the center portion?
Yeah - those are the sizes. I aimed for 32 in the front, 36 in the back - but I was rather lax about checking. The back developed a small leak (mesquite thorns) that I didn't notice until after probably 200 miles. Pressure was 20 when I noticed, and likely contributed to to "early" wear.

The Distanzas in the 120/160 size range use super soft, super moto racing, rubber compound that wears quickly. Other sizes of the Distanza use a harder, less grippy rubber compound.
