Unhappy Front Wheel Motorcycle Stand

I am looking for a cheap but sturdy front wheel motorcycle stand for my V.
I currently have the Harbor Freight rear wheel stand and like it.
I am looking for recommendations from fellow members for a front wheel stand.

There are thread on this forum about stands. Recently I bought the T-Rex triple-tree front stand and also the rear stand: http://www.t-rex-racing.com/

I've used the front stand several times for removing the front wheel, and the front fork. Very high quality, very stable. I also have the harbor freight rear stand. The T-Rex stands are much, much better. However, they do cost a bit more. In this case, you do get what you pay for.

Harbour Freight carries this stand #65620 at thier store but you will need the Front Fork Adapters #65621 which they don't seem to list on-line any more. I bought a set of the adapters but haven't gone to get the stand yet. You can call the store and ask if they have the items in stock if not they can tell you the closest store to you that does.. Oh BTW the adapters won't fit the stand you already have.

I have the Harbor Freight stand with the fork adapters. It works.
It doesn't make me 100% confident, but if you're careful to make sure it's in the right place on the fork, it's effective. I also have the other HF aluminum rear spool stand, and like it better.

Just got back from picking up the harbour freight stand since i already had the front fork adapters... http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcy...html?hftref=cj

While i was there went and pick this up because my bike leans over so much while on the kickstand. Save a little garage space. http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcy...ock-97841.html

Great price on that stand... when I was last there, they had the fork adapters for only $5 or so... and the aluminum spools (10mm) that fit the swingarm on closeout for $2.99.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all of the suggestions and product number/descriptions. I will check with my local Harbor Freight store and see what they have in stock.
Also, the Pit Bull stand looks promising.

Looking online it seems that the triple-tree stand at T-Rex is less than $100 (around $82 right now) - perhaps I was reading things incorrectly. the pit-bull was something like $160. I have the T-Rex stand and it works very well. I cannot imagine how another stand would be worth doubling the price.

A friend of mine has Harbor Freight stand including the front fork adapters. The rear setup works great but we found when using it for the front that it wasn't very stable. His bike actually fell over at one point while we were changing the front tire. No damage but it shouldn't fall over.

Did you have the bike on a rear stand also or just had the front stand alone??

I have a set of T-Rex with the triple tree adaptor in AZ. Changed several sets of tires (F and R) with it. GREAT product!
I have a Harbor Freight rear aluminum stand here in BC - it works..., but does NOT inspire confidence. (I'll probably get another T-Rex set.)

Tell your friend to get another one.... obviously, it's worth it. The rear tire isn't enough to stabilize the bike when it's up on the forks. It's designed to roll from side to side. Hey, waddya know- HF is having a sale!
