Received my SW Motec crash bars today ... finally. Been waiting ages for them to come in couple of months. Decided to fit them this arvo, no instructions although they are available on the net, thought to myself how hard can it be? Wasn't really difficult just there are a few things I should have thought about first before I jumped in. It would have saved about 55 trips to the garage for tools.
Started off like this
Spread things out
Undid the bolt here and removed it and the nut
Removed the front sprocket cover so I could see better and removed the bottom engine mount bolt
Put the new bolts and spacers in place, placed the u-bolt and put the nuts on
Tightened the front mount and u-bolt nuts and voila left side done
put the sprocket cover back on the and bottom nut was behind the crash bar, couldn't use the socket to do it up, lucky I have ratchet ring spanners
Put the right hand side on which went a lot faster
Tightened all the bolts and put the plastics on and all finished, ready for that fall that I hope never happens.
