Never mind (said in best Roseanne Roseannadanna voice). It turns out that a $3.38 Osram bulb used in a BMW is cheaper than the $13 Kawasaki bulb. That's a first!
I searched the wrong forum. Should have searched the whole site.
Strange. my 2011 uses BAU15s RY10W phillips bulb (12063 marked on the sides) though.
Had a burnt out front left turn signal bulb over the weekend. Didn't occurred to me to double check here, and went out to the nearest auto store, figured that LEDs is common nowadays so i bought a pair, only to realise that the bulb are the common 1156 BA15s (180-degree pin) while the turn signal housing has an offset pin hole. some googling on the burnt phillips revealed that it is a BAU15s base (with 150-degree pin).
not wanting to waste it, i filed and knocked one side of the pin down, low enough to force the bulb into the hole without it jiggling out. well, it worked so i'm gonna leave it as it is for now.
