After some measuring I figured the second generation ('08-'13") KLR650 would fit my Versys.
I was wanting a larger foot but wasn't crazy about the options I had seen.
IF you put a larger front tire on (Metzler Tourance 130/80x17 for instance as I and many others have), the stock stand will work, and be TOO short in reality - but I'm pretty sure will be the correct length IF you've lowered your bike.
That set-up has your bike leaning left quite a bit more than stock.
Also fitted a KLR 650 side stand. I fitted a speedies lowering block so i shortened my side stand. I simply cut the foot of at the weld, cut 1 inch of the stand and welded the plate back on. It looks original and is a far better, more stable stand than the Versys. You need to use the "KLR SPRING" not the Versys spring. The spring mount on the KLR stand is in a different spot. :thumb::thumb:
