Hepco-Becker crash bars
I am selling my H-B crash bars because they are NOT compatible with the S-W Motech "skid-plate", so I have replaced them with the S-W bars to be able to use the S-W skid-plate, as I do LOTS of off-road.
If you don't need a skid-plate, but DO want a set of crash-bars, these are pretty good, and protected my V very well in a 'low-side' I had back a few years ago. Cosmetically they had a slight scratch on the left side, and which I "repaired" by putting two small pieces of electrical tape over (see the FIFTH picture for a close-up, as well as SIX pics of the left side on my V and four of the right). As you will see from the first four pics, they are complete - all hardware and instructions - and will be wrapped in 'bubble-wrap' when shipped. If you're "on-the-fence" re: S-W vs H-B bars - after removing H-Bs and installing S-Ws yesterday, the H-Bs are considerably less of a 'chore' to install, and if it wasn't for the skid-plate they'd STILL be on BIG RED!
I am asking $130 PLUS you pay shipping from AZ (as opposed to $211.99 new plus shipping), OR BEST OFFER, and PayPal works for me.
Well I've been on the fence between HB vs SW for a bit, with plans on using the SW skid plate regardless of my crash bar selection.
Up until your post, I didn't see anything which indicated that the HB crash bars were not comparable with the SW skid plate. Obviously, there is an issue or you wouldn't be parting with yours. I just find it odd that I didn't come across something as my research has been pretty extensive.
I'll be ordering my SW crash bars and skid plate right after this. Wish I had known sooner, it would have saved me a bunch of time.
FWIW, I was leaning towards HB for the high radiator protection.
Sorry you need to sell, but thanks for the indirect 'heads up'.
I wish there was someone who made crashbars which combined the SW design with the HB. I like my SW's because of how they wrap around the lower part of the engine...but I like the HB's because they go higher up to protect more of the fairing/radiator.

I sent that "non-compatible" info to Twisted Throttle, so HOPEFULLY they'll include it in their ads.

Right now I'm "negotiating" with Purificator, so will know soon. IF no-go, I'll PM you, but they are in AZ, NOT Canada.

There's a "little" question from someone, that the left bar is damaged, specifically as shown in picture 5 where the piece shows a 'pinch' crease. Following are three pics I just took to show that THAT is how the pipe is MADE. It's 'squeezed' into an oval shape, then welded to the vertical piece, I assume for strength.
