Broken Foot peg after a side collision

I didn't realized the foot peg was partially damage after a side collision with a car trying to change lane. I was caught in-between cars while lane splitting, was going slow, and this car coming from my right doesn't seem to notice me and merge out. Felt the knock but manage to prevent myself from losing control and I left it as it is and continue riding. I am sure the other bloke's bumper has a line scratch.

Lucky one mate. You could've hooked up with him and gone under the car. That must has been some knock to snap that peg like that. Lane splitting has become illegal here.

This is crazy, how it broke? was a blow to the side? I do not understand what you said. Here in Brazil if a law prohibiting walking between cars is not for sale Moto.

The V's foot pegs are designed, apparently, to break off there... I had a stand still drop a while back and lost the tip of my right peg. I didn't notice it until six or eight weeks later when it was parked and I was sitting a few yards away. I ordered a replacement and when it came I saw there is a engineered break groove in the peg... I guess to help in some way... Some how,

At least you get left with a bit to put for foot on.

Lane Splitting is riding your bike in between cars. It's legal here in California...

Is it dangerous to ride with the edge of the footpeg broken off that way? I broke my left peg in exactly the same place - didn't put the stand down fully enough when getting off the bike. I haven't bothered with a replacement thus far.

Does it look like that footage was edited to make it look faster to you? the rate of braking and acceleration looked like a slot car to me not a bike. That looked wrong. I've got no sound either so I can't guess what that was like but was it music or real exhausts and stuff?

That was when i was going through La La Land. I did speed the whole video up but at the time no one was driving slow eighter. The video has music, some times certain songs won't play in all countrys because of copyrights.
