Default I'm back, sorta.

I sold my 09 Versys in May because I wanted a cruiser and I prefer naked bikes. I got an 08 Suz M50 but missed riding the Versys once in a while. I Finally found a nice ER6-N so I'm not back but at least Im in the right Family. Funny how things change but stay the same. Sucks buying a bike when its like 15 degrees out.

I totally agree with your last statement. I traded for my Versys 1000 in October and only got 4 short rides and 200 km in before the weather went downhill. Every time I walk by in the underground I long to ride.
The only upside is I'm getting all the farkling done before the season.

I expected to see a VROOOOM VROOOM!!! caption with the picture.
I've only seen one other bike in my neighborhood out for the past month.
It's way warmer 15 miles south of Chicago (in my mind at least).

So, it's too cold to ride... what's the hurry on the bike? I hope you got a good deal on it.

Thanks guys. I've wanted one of these for a while and finally found a mint low mile one. I got this for $1000 less than what I sold the Versys for (both similar miles and condition) and it included the Arrow exhaust, Joe Rocket tank bag, rear stand, MRA winscreen, and spools and sliders. I originally wanted the ER6 but I found the Versys at a steal and I liked the suspension better (but not the height). This wont be ridden for a while as there is salt on the roads in some places. Life is good.

Hey man, congrats!! I wish I could find an ER6N local so my wife could try sitting on it. The Versys is just way too tall, even lowered with a low gel seat. She currently rides a VStar 650 with a seat height of 27". I know the ER6N should be around 30", so she may be able to comfortably ride one.

back!

Nice ER6N. Did you keep the M50?

Definately keeping the Suzuki M50. There aren't any other liquid cooled FI cruisers with USD forks, mag wheels, and monoshock rear ends that don't weigh too much and have reasonable wheelbases. The M50 is way better than the 1200R Sportster I had and liked. The ER6 may not get alot of use but I have the space (finally) and I've wanted one for years. The bike sits alot lower than my lowered Versys so if you're short it's something to consider. I've only ridden it 1/2 mile so I have no idea what it rides like and wont for months.
