Good idea, The Buell riders had BRAG so if you needed help on the road you would know who was near. We need something like this here. I always worry on road trip about something going wrong that I can't fix on the roadside and having no way home. Speaking of being away from home i just looked to see if i was listed yet and i noticed it showed me 71 miles from home. I was wondering if everybody can see this or just me? Looks like it shows air miles because it's a 92 mile ride where i'am located now. Thanks.

I looked at your pin. I went by your zip code a moved your pin right on Livingston per your zip. If you want me to be more accurate, try the "short URL" method I listed in post #1 for the more accurate pin placement. If you use that approach, I can drop a pin exactly where you want and will be glad to do it.

What i meant was not my home location (livingston) but where i rode too. I'am 71 air miles from home and the map is saying 71 miles, i guess it's just my asus tablet with gps thats showing that i'am 71 miles away from home. But what i was wanting to know can everybody that looks at your map will they also be able to see that i'am travleing? thanks again.

Nobody can see where you are traveling, the pins do not move. You are not being tracked!

I didn't forget. Your map shows people willing to lend a couch/bed for an overnight stay. The map I started was in reference to a member wanting to see who was close so they could be contacted for a meet up or ride.

I am not trying to step on anybody's toes here. I feel like many more of us are curious to know who is around them for riding purposes. Speaking for myself, I live in a small house with no room for extra folks. Others may not want to offer up their homes for strangers but would be up for a ride with another Versys owner.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll keep this map going as long as people post up to be added.
