They aren't gripping all of the crash bar. I'm having a rubber "bushing" made for me at work to put between the peg mount bracket and the crash bar. When I get it on there I'll post a picture. This is why they keep turning. It doesn't grip all the way around the bar...just in the middle where the 2 pieces on the peg mount come together.

So you are actually mounting them on the crashbar. Hopefully the rubber bushing will work for you. I'll be waiting on the posted picture.
