I would just like to introduce myself to the forum
I used to ride my 50cc to school quite a number of years ago, got married, had kids and now have time for myself as they are all grown up.
Due to the excessive traffic on our freeways, which a 35km trip takes between 1hr to 90 mins (one way) I decided to buy myself a motorbike again to commute to work and home daily.
2 years ago, I bought my first ER6F and then in January this year another one (yet newer model) Needless to say the second one just caught my eye and told me to buy it, and then again with the Versys.
They are all awesome bikes, but prefer the rider position on the Versys.
I am looking to purchase a modified seat for my bike (which is a weee bit lower than the original)
How i wish mine was that short, on the V it takes me around 30 - 40 mins, but drivers here dont like bikes too much, so have to be very much more cautious
I work with a few South Africans that have settled down here for a more peacful lifestyle. When i take the car it takes about 22 minutes and on the versys 5 min quicker and on Ninja 1000 well that would be bragging haha. I live in the country and the big dairy factory i work at is also in middle of the country so i am blessed it is all open roads.

You are making me very envious ... so at least the SAs can confirm what I have said
Thanks for the link, (being a woman that does not use internet - I did not know of this!)
Have you or anyone you know done this method?
G'day again, Down under is wonderful, my commute is about 10km and takes about 10 minutes. If you click on the following link it will show you the story of me lowering my Versys. There are heaps of posts on lowering the V both here and in a british Versys forum here http://www.kawariders.com.au/showthr...ered-my-Versys
