18 days left!

Yes, forget the doom actual end of world! We are talking about end of the world as we know it!

Girl friend said, what are you talking about! Its a new world everyday! LOL

Two of the dooms day count down sites are back stepping. One of them is asking the US government to tell the truth about solar flares. Very strange.

I agree with you Mursili, no one knows the actual end of the world, come on and what does that mean anyway.

I think we are all missing the point here.....We're all looking at "the end of the world as we know it"... like it's a bad thing.
This planet has been in need of an enema for quite some time!
I think something wonderful will happen.
We all wake the very the next morning and absolutely everyone one in is riding motorcycles, life is good, god is in his heaven, and all is finally right with the world!

That is the whole issue that I have with this particular thread. In just about every way mankind (sorry ladies) is better off now than they were 500, 100 and 50 years ago. People are amazing things that can up up with the solution to just about every problem. While there are times that the trend line moves down, it has a general bias upward. I hope that things keep getting better.

Then again, if I was unemployed in Greece or Spain I might think differently.

It's just our evolution that is advancing and manifesting itself... We are inevitably evolving along with everything else.
We are made of star dust. We come from the stars, and vibrate to the stars all together as a whole. We are just living by the big clock in the sky, and everything is evolving as it should.

This is uncharted territory! The ground work to fundamental question may now be answered with the development of quantum theory of gravity through superstring theory. We possess theortical tools to push into vast regions of the unknown. We will now go where no man has ever gone before!

What an exciting time to be alive!

NASA guarantees it... Besides, they can't be held responsible if they're wrong.

What a cool website! Well done Invader & NASA.

It is interesting how some aspect of the emotional human spirit of some people is so attracted to a "good story" or myth or feeling, at the expense of ignoring the realities of how our universe works. Could it be that at some level, they just want to escape the real world for a while, to ponder what they have, the people the know and love, and what it would be like without them? And why are we here anyways?

It is the one in December. You know, when the sun stops sinking farther to the south and acts like the world is not going to end with the sun just drifting away.

It would seem that a lot of human history took place with just about no one south of the equator.
