i have the N90 and chose to go with the sena SMH5 communicator and not the integrated bluetooth. I sold the nolan bluetooth devices before and they don't have the functions that I want.

The nolan helmets accept the speakers and communicators very well though.

90 % sure going to buy a N104 with the pricey bluetooth set designed for the helmet the nicom B4 but you only live once and you can't take it with you. Never had a flip up so will see how it goes. Have borrowed a friends Nolan 103 helmet to try out as have never used a flip up one before.

as long as you are comfortable with wearing earplugs or just bare the increase noise level (not recommended)

then a modular is perfect for almost every situation. I really like the added visibility, the drop down visor, and the ventilation of my Nolan.

Hey Weljo, if I recall, you had the scorpion exo 900 before. Were you able to use the same size helmet when you got your nolan?? Or did you go down a size?
I'm a large in the scorpion, but a medium in most other helmets..........
Thanks

Both were XL but the Scorpion was a very very snug fit.

This helmet is pretty good with the ventilation and is among the lightest of the Modulars from Nolan. Almost bought it myself except that my stupid last minute shopping for a modular helmet got me a Caberg Konda as the N104 wasn't available. THe Konda was way much cheaper and about the same weight. I am sure you will enjoy this helmet.

Not doing a heck of a lot of riding at moment due to winter but have fitted bluetooth to helmet and because the unit is purpose built for the helmet it all fits in very easy. My next purchase will be a smart type phone that i can put music on as my old phone is a basic sim card phone with a fm radio but must be plugged into ear phones to work, it does have bluetooth.

Main reason for buying the helmet was my old shark was getting worn out and thought I would see how the flip up goes, I like to take a lot of photos so thought it would be good for that, wanted to listen to music with out wires and also a good friend has the nolan n103 so thought we could pair up helmets for our rides (we doing a 8 day ride in Jan 2013, as long as the world does not end). My friend is coming around tommorow to help me set up the bluetooth side of it as he a bit of a gadget geek.

Really like the new helmet but modualar helmets do not like real high speeds, At 252 kph I thought my head was going to blow up with all the noise/vibration.

The helmet itself is really great, has good wide visibilty in the visor, push button retract of internal sun visor is great, enjoying going into a petrol station and just flipping up the lid rather than have to take old helmet off. Become a fan of modular helmets.

Have any of you heard of "Sharpe" helmet ratings? I was impressed because Nolans were one of VERY few that had a 100% rating on the chin bar staying in place during accident testing. Shoie multitec opened in 16% of their tests and had worse impact ratings than the Nolan's. HJCs only stayed shut about 40% of the time. That's nuts. I would never buy one of them now.

Cheers for that as it good to know my helmet will do the job if required.

I just fitted my Old StarCom 1 intercomb system to the bike. Fitted my phone with FM, mp3. The phone rings, automatically answers, mutes the radio. Great. Not Bluetooth but works great. They have a Bluetooth attachment you can plug in if yoy want bluetooth. I just want a smartphone with GPS as well and it will be complete.
