American Suzuki Motor to cease selling cars, focus on motorcycles, ATVs in reorganization

BREA, Calif. (AP) — American Suzuki Motor Corp. on Monday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and said it will cease selling automobiles in the U.S. as part of a plan to restructure its business

Guess their 100,000 mile/160000km/7yr automotive warranty is null and void now.

IMO they needed to spend more on advertising. Very few people even know Suzuki make cars.

They use to make motors for Chevy's little cars.

Toyota Tundra is the most American made truck sold in the USA. No really! Never thought I'd ever say that!

Thats right Ford, Chevy, and Dodge man!

My little brother got one when they first came out. They sold them first in Florida,Cali and Texas. That little booger was still running like a champ when he sold it 11 years later. Never any problems.

Think when Hyundai/Kia moved in, suzuki lost their niche... Oh and side note, don't buy a Hyundai, least not the sonata lol

It's worse than this guys...They have shut down several motorcycle plants world wide and even though they are trying , people who know people feel the end is near for the whole company. R.I.P. Suzuki
