Any texans up for a 3 sisters (or other place) ride this fall? I think I'm open most weekends other than nov 16-18 as I have tix for the F1 race in austin.
Sounds like you all are putting a good ride together. I did a week bicycle ride through that area about 4 years ago. It would be a lot of fun on the Versys. Hills wouldn't seen quite as steep. Unfortunately there is likely to be a lot of cold air between SW Kansas and Austin in November. I have thought of trying to get down and ride that area every since I got the V. Hope you have a good ride.
I too was thinking of this same ride this week. I've got the in-laws in town for Thanksgiving 21-23rd. I was thinking of Sunday Nov. 25 as a good day to do 3 sisters. I'm going to do it in one day, Just like Jeff said earlier it is a long days ride. Not trying to highjack this post either, the rides are the same and so close together I thought I might post it here to give others options on a different day. I've only done 3 sisters once and it was awesome, 10 hour days ride from Austin. Weather forecast is for 60s that day(in Austin) Anyone one here interested in a 25th all dayer?
No hijacking here! This thread has been going since 2011, and has been used to plan a couple of rides.
I'm interested in a ride on the 25th! 3 sisters is an 8 hour day for me if I can meet up in bandera or somewhere else on the southern route to leakey (I'm in pleasanton).
Crazy, I didn't even look at the beginning date!! I must be new around here. Yeah the time I rode out there from Austin it was like 10 hour ride. I'm up for an all dayer after Thanksgiving. Me and my "butler" coffee mug need some quality time. I'll send over a ping. Cory

I'm thinking about taking a ride from Austin to Marble Falls this Saturday or Sunday. I'll take 1431 or 71 to 281. Should be a beautiful ride through the hill country!
