Default Hi From New Zealand.

Hi Everyone. My name is Richard and i am from New Zealand. I have recently purchased an 07 Black Versys. I have been riding bikes for 45 years and "naturally" have owned dozen's of different makes and models. My most recent bikes have been a Kawasaki ZZR1100, a Honda St 1300, a Honda Varadero, a Kawasaki Vulcan cruiser and now the Versys. With age, the body gets a bit worn out and my hips have been crying out for replacements for a few years now. Hence the change in bikes to find the right ergo fit. The Varadero was the best bike i have owned but the weight was a factor. The Versys is just a smaller lighter version of the Varadero. I have fitted a speedy lowering kit, peg lowering blocks and taken the preload of the springs. I currently weigh 72 kgs and i find the ride smooth as. The Versys would currently be the best fitting bike so far. The only bike where i can ride without pain. Magic.
I'm looking forward to riding the bike as our summer has just started.
I think this forum is a great source of info and i am sure i have something to offer, being a motor mechanic.
I have been to America once and love the place and the people.
Cheers

Welcome! I have been to NZ once and really enjoyed it. I hope to get back in the next few years when I can see more of your country.

Default Thanks people.

If you ever venture onto our distant shores give us a call. I think there are three kiwi members spread the length of our country.
This is a great forum and looking forward to becoming involved.
Cheers and have a great day.
